BOSTON-- The Abrams Group, LLC, a Boston-based real estate development and investment firm, today announced the purchase of a 30,000-square-foot office building located at 170 Common Street in Lawrence. The building is a 3-story brick building located within walking distance of the compact, industrially planned downtown. The property, home to a number of legal, high-tech, and financial companies, also houses Café Azteca, one of the area's finest authentic Mexican restaurants.

"The property fits well with our strategy of acquiring undervalued real estate in markets with significant upside potential. We can add value through aggressive asset management and repositioning," said Jeffrey Brooks, a partner at The Abrams Group.

With affordable space and its close proximity to routes I-93 and I-495, newer companies in technology, health care, and manufacturing have chosen to locate in Lawrence, Brooks noted. Among them are New England Affiliated Technology, the Robert Able Company, and the Gem Group, he said.
